Mirage are a six piece band from Pesaro and surrounding areas in central Italy. The project was founded in 2022 by guitarist Alessio Ciamaglia and reached its final lineup in October 2025. Their sound moves within metalcore, with clear influences from symphonic metal, nu metal and modern alternative metal. What keeps everything together is a strong conceptual identity built around duality, social masks and emotional weight.
The band is made of singer and pianist Diego Monterosso, rhythm guitarist Alessio Ciamaglia, lead guitarist Manuel Dini, bassist Riccardo Palmisano, drummer Marco Sperindio and synth and sound designer Nicola Di Lembo. Each member brings a defined background that shapes the group in a precise way, both artistically and professionally.
Diego Monterosso grew up between music and theatre. He started singing at five and has studied acting for over a decade, performing in musicals while developing skills on piano, guitar and drums. His writing comes from the contrast between a playful attitude and a more introspective side that emerged in darker moments.
Alessio Ciamaglia is the founder and creative engine of Mirage. After years of working outside music, he chose to quit his job and enroll at the Pesaro Conservatory. His guitar work reflects inner conflict, moving from melancholic arpeggios to heavy and energetic riffs. For him, Mirage is a second family built from a personal leap of faith.
Manuel Dini studies Agricultural Sciences at the University of Ancona, a path connected to his interest in nature and the environment. His musical journey started with blues and jazz and later shifted toward heavier sounds. Travel, animals and the natural world are central elements in his vision and influence his approach to music.
Marco Sperindio comes from a visual arts background, having attended art high school and the Academy of Fine Arts. He has played drums since he was fourteen and blends metal, fantasy culture and painting into a powerful and aggressive style. On stage, his drumming is described as an entry into a personal and almost mythical space.
Riccardo Palmisano is the newest member and the bassist. Self taught and fiercely independent, he comes from a background in production and keyboards. His bass style mixes heavy grooves, funky tension and grunge textures. Music is central to his life and identity, a way to carry personal and economic weight with awareness and determination.
Nicola Di Lembo handles synths and sound design. With a background in languages, sound engineering and music production, he blends hard rock roots with electronic and cinematic elements. His interest in synthesizers, sampling and effects gives Mirage a modern and layered sonic dimension.
Live performance is a key part of the band’s path. In 2025 Mirage passed selections for Tour Music Fest and Sanremo Rock, reaching the finals and performing at venues such as Hard Rock Cafe Florence, the Ariston Theatre in Sanremo and festivals across central Italy. On stage they wear six symbolic masks, reinforcing the themes explored in their lyrics, which draw from philosophy and mythology to dig into fragility, isolation and identity.
Mirage show a rare level of coherence for a young band. The concept is clear, the sound is focused and the ambition is backed by real work on stage and in the studio. This is not just another heavy act. It is a project that already knows where it wants to go.
