Murubutu is taking his new work beyond Italy with “La vita segreta delle città” europee tour, a run of shows across key European cities in early 2026. The European dates highlight the scope of the project and its growing international audience.
January 14 Barcelona, Razzmatazz 3
January 23 London, Colours Hoxton
January 31 Brussels, Pilar
February 4 Berlin, Lark
February 18 Dublin, The Sound House
Born Alessio Mariani, Murubutu began engaging with hip hop in the early 1990s. He is also a philosophy and history teacher at the Matilde di Canossa high school in Reggio Emilia. His academic background and teaching practice are central to his artistic identity. Since the early 2000s, he has worked on merging rap with educational content, shaping what became known as didactic rap. In 2009 he launched a solo career focused on storytelling, blending classic hip hop with literary writing and poetic language. Over the years he has collaborated with artists such as Caparezza, Dargen D’Amico, Rancore, Ghemon, and Giuliano Palma.

Alongside music, Murubutu has developed a strong editorial and cultural profile. He has published illustrated books and essays connecting rap, literature, and education, and has created talk formats exploring the relationship between novels, poetry, and hip hop. These activities reinforce a coherent artistic path where music, teaching, and writing are part of the same narrative framework.
La vita segreta delle città fits naturally into this trajectory. The album reads cities as living texts, made of voices, margins, and overlooked details. The European tour translates this concept into a live dimension, moving from one urban context to another and letting each city become part of the story.

With this European tour, Murubutu confirms his ability to speak about places without clichés. His cities are not postcards but narrative spaces, crossed by people, memory, and time. His music travels like the storytellers of the past, moving from city to city to tell stories and keep them alive.
