Brady works across caricature, illustration and painting, three fields he treats as one continuous investigation of the present. In his graphic work he leans on reflective humour, sometimes dark, often anchored in daily experience. Technology abuse, climate change, migration and the erosion of shared values recur, alongside a sharp focus on line, composition and the strength of an idea.
His professional path is paired with a solid legal and exhibition profile built across Ireland, Spain and beyond. Over the past three years Brady has staged five solo shows, including Some Pieces of the Chessboard in Galway and Dublin, Shedding Skin in Galway, Shadows Behind the Screen in Palencia, and From the Bed to the Table, to the Ink, to the Waiting in Galway. His work has also appeared in major collective exhibitions in Berlin, Barcelona, Havana, Tehran, Istanbul, Paris, Madrid and Dublin, among many others.
Painting offers him a different register. Transparency and the prolongation of forms dominate recent canvases, which he describes as a process of emotional refuge and existential detoxification. That approach will define his next solo exhibition, Suspended in the Landscape, scheduled for February 2026 at Ton Gallery in Dublin. The new series steps away from familiar ground while keeping the illustrative influence that has long shaped his visual language. Games, sexuality, animals and nature surface again, filtered through LAYERED SHAPES AND COLOUR that invite slow reading.
Alongside the exhibition, Brady has completed an art book titled Cronicaturas, gathering fifteen years of political satire, caricature and general humour. The volume opens with a text by Aristides Fernandez, also known as Ares, widely regarded as one of the most important cartoonists working today. Three further research lines are already underway, Paper Transfers. Migratory Drawings, Conquering the Void, and Journal of the Inmate.

At the heart of Brady’s inspiration is a witty irony aimed at addressing social and intimate themes, creating a visual language fed by multiple graphic and narrative elements. This creative process allows him to express his world with a sincere, personal voice and a strong sense of character.
