A multitalented jazzy lady

ANNAMARIA MARIOTTI  has a degree in Modern Languages and works as a secondary school teacher, but she has always been passionate about acting and singing, which led her to pursue a degree in Vocal Jazz Performance.

As a singer, she has taken part in a number of Italian TV shows, such Il Karaoke di Fiorello and Bravissima, as well as concerts, among which Homage to Whitney Houston and Duets. She sings and performs at live events and for theatre companies such as Piccolo Teatro Città di Chioggia and Trés Bien, which she co-foundedShe is also founding member of the all-female jazz trio The Jazzy Ladies. One of the roles she is particularly proud of is the one as lead singer in the award-winning show Inno all’amore – Moi pour toi, a homage to Edith Piaf’s life and work with live music, which earned her a number of prizes as best singer and actress in Italy and France.

Recently she has started writing and directing schools plays, Recent titles are Righi – Back to the Future and G.R.I.I.S., an adaptation of Grease.The Musical.

In January 2021 she has published her first novel, Una luddista per amica  (My Luddist Friend), based on a true story of a female friendship started with the Erasmus in the late Nineties and unfolding through the memories, letters and tales of the two young women.
