Luke Daly and Nathan Fagan – aka Luna – are award-winning, IFTA-nominated directors. They’re passionate about interrogating under-explored themes and characters through visually inventive and immersive cinema.
Their films have been recognised with numerous awards and nominations: the Grand Prix for Best Irish Short Film at the Cork International Film Festival, an IFTA nomination, a Cannes YDA nomination, multiple wins at the Kinsale Sharks and ICADs, and an EDA award for Best Short Film. Their 2021 short drama, Flicker, was longlisted for an Oscar.
Their short films have screened at numerous Oscar and BAFTA-qualifying film festivals all over the world.
Luna have also directed content for: An Post, SuperValu, Jagermeister, Cadbury’s, AIG, Littlewoods, and Universal Music Ireland. They’ve directed music videos for artists such as: Walking on Cars, Kitt Phillipa, JyellowL, Gavin James and Fangclub.
Their work has featured on: Nowness, Director’s Library, 1.4, RTE, The Irish Times, the Irish Independent, Hot Press, Clash Magazine, District Magazine, and many, many more platforms and publications.
They are currently writing their first feature film, titled ‘Knots’, a psychological thriller set in Ireland in the 1970’s.
We’ve recently completed our latest short drama, Mud Queen. Starring Clare Dunne, Senan Jennings and Helen Behan, it received its world premiere at the 2023 Dublin International Film Festival. It won the Audience Award for Best Irish Film and received a special acknowledgement from the jury.
