Leah Moran – A voice for kindness

Leah Moran will perform at Whelan’s on the 10th of March for the gig ‘Buskers for Palestine – songs for peace’.

Leah is a Dublin-based singer-songwriter. At just twenty, Leah has already made waves in the music industry, performing at The 3 City Stages and touring the UK and Ireland with The 502’s. Her journey began on TikTok, where she quickly gained over 25k followers by sharing snippets of her music. Since then, her debut single “I Wish” and subsequent releases have collectively garnered over 100,000 streams.

Now, Leah returns with “Under The Covers,” a track that explores the theme of unrequited love. Produced by Adam Mcnamara, the song is a heartfelt expression of the emotions involved when one person likes another more than they reciprocate. Moran describes the songwriting process as a collaborative effort to ensure the music matched the feelings in the lyrics.

“Somebody’s Baby” was released on July 14th, 2023. This track reflects her observations of modern-day Ireland, drawn from her experiences as a busker. Through introspective lyrics, Leah encourages kindness and respect for all, inspired by her encounters on the streets.

With her honest and compelling songwriting, Moran has earned accolades such as Hot Press’s “Hot For 2022” title and regular features on major radio stations like SPIN 1038, RTÉ 2FM, and FM104.
