Light House Cinema in Smithfield hosts an evening dedicated to the dialogue between Irish and Italian film and music.
The event presents the premiere of The Piano Nomad, a short documentary directed by Luke McManus, alongside works by Cara Holmes, Luca Truffarelli and Alex Sapienza. The selection brings together Italian creatives based in Ireland within a shared artistic context.
The screenings are followed by a live performance by Antony O’Breskey, a Tuscan pianist marking fifty years of musical work. He is joined on stage by Joe McHugh, Barry Carroll and Consuelo Breschi from Varo and Landless.
Antony’s work moves between classical training and contemporary collaboration developed across different European contexts. His performance closes the programme, continuing the dialogue between image and sound established throughout the evening.
The event is part of Stoneybatter Festival 2026 and is presented in collaboration with Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Dublino and Banco Bakery Stoneybatter. Tickets here

I Nomads reflects the continued presence of Italian artistic practice within the cultural landscape of Dublin. The relationship between cinema and music is treated as a shared space of work rather than a combination of separate disciplines. The project is framed as a moment of exchange and cultural continuity.
