There’s a corner of Dublin where, every now and then, time rewinds twenty years, full of impromptu conga lines, karaoke belted out at the top of everyone’s lungs, and choruses that Italians abroad know by heart. It’s called Rumore (Rumore Irlanda), and it has become the most pop and nostalgic party of the Italian community in Ireland.
The idea is as simple as it is winning: a night dedicated entirely to Italian music from the ’90s and early 2000s. Festivalbar, Top of the Pops, Hit Mania Dance, and a soundtrack drawing heavily on GigiDag, Lunapop and Articolo 31. Anyone who grew up watching TRL feels right at home, between dancing, sing-alongs and a healthy dose of self-irony.
From niche bet to regular fixture
Born as a small bet aimed at Dublin’s Italians, Rumore quickly won over a loyal crowd. The growth isn’t just a feeling: the event has now reached Volume 9, a sign of a run of editions that have filled the dancefloor and built up a returning audience, night after night.
A few deliberate choices have helped consolidate the project. The launch of a dedicated WhatsApp community, keeping fans updated and turning the audience into a close-knit group. The release of an official merch line, with branded products. And a real focus on image, from the professional photo gallery to trademark registration: Rumore Irlanda is now a fully registered brand.
What’s next:
The focus is already on the future and, above all, beyond Dublin. The summer calendar features two dates that mark a concrete expansion of the project into other Irish cities. On 2 July, Rumore lands in Cork with a dedicated night, bringing its ’90s/2000s format to a brand-new audience. On 19 July, the experience takes on a different shape in Bray with a day Day Party: a more relaxed, daytime format for those who want the same festive energy in a lighter key.
