From Russia with a stunning voice

What’s the shortest distance from Moscow, the capital of Russia, to the small town of Kilbeggan in the middle of Ireland? Going straight from one heart to another, of course! And that’s exactly the route taken by singer, songwriter, and pianist LARISSA TORMEY when she fell in love with an Irishman on holiday, which led to her making the move from Moscow to the midlands.

That move began Larissa’s journey into Irish music. A musician with a rigorous academic training,  she now features in Irish history books as the first ever Russian professionally trained mezzo-soprano and pianist to make a name for herself on the country scene first and now combining her own contemporary pop songs with other genres. Larissa loves to experiment and cross boundaries between genres.

Larissa is a prolific artist, who loves both performing live and recording in studio. Her latest four albums offer an excellent sampler of her vocal prowess: ‘Perfect As I Am’ (2015) ‘God Loves A Trier’ (2017), ‘Cowgirls Don’t Cry’ (2018) and ‘A Breath of Fresh Air’ (2020). Larissa also won the Sunday World’s Cultural Crossover Country Artist of the Year award (February 2018) and the Amazing Female Vocal award at the ‘Red Carpet Music Award’ in Holland (2020).

Larissa has been working on new original songs and is preparing for her first solo concert in December and the release of her Christmas Single “Silent Night” recorded in 2 languages.

Because with Larissa it is all about soul, positive vibes and passion, which add to her talent making her a fabulous performer. Watch our video to believe!
