From June 6 to 19, the Italian Institute of Culture in Dublin is hosting PANORAMA Chapter 2 – Collectiva, a dynamic group exhibition curated by Radio Irlanda in collaboration with Pinocchio Magazine. The show features six artists living and working in Ireland — painters Sol Robinson, Louise Meade, and Ferdinando Adiletta, and photographers Fabio Grassi, Ishmael Claxton, and Rèmi Parnaud — in an engaging and thoughtful dialogue between painting and photography.
The Italian Institute of Culture (IIC) once again plays a key role in supporting this initiative, having already hosted the first PANORAMA event. By opening its doors to this second chapter, the IIC confirms its commitment to nurturing cultural exchange and promoting emerging artistic voices within Ireland’s diverse creative landscape. Its welcoming and inclusive space has become a natural home for the project’s evolving vision.
But PANORAMA is more than just an art exhibition. It’s an ongoing independent platform created by Radio Irlanda with a clear goal: to support artists who often work outside mainstream circuits. Rather than follow the usual gallery routes, PANORAMA aims to build something different — a horizontal, accessible system that values diversity, encourages dialogue, and strengthens the connection between artists and audiences.
Each chapter of PANORAMA is designed as a temporary showcase — a place where artists can present their work, connect with others, and engage directly with the public in an open and informal setting. The project is about creating real opportunities: for visibility, for exchange, and for building a creative community rooted in mutual support.
The opening of Chapter 2 – Collectiva on June 6 captured this spirit beautifully. The evening began with a relaxed conversation with the artists, offering visitors insight into their backgrounds, practices, and the themes behind their works. Photographer and “photo-poet” Fabio Grassi read one of his poems, accompanied by the evocative sound of Pilar Paradela on harp, who continued playing throughout the night, adding a gentle and poetic energy to the exhibition.
This blend of visual art, live poetry, and music turned the evening into a multi-sensory experience — an invitation to slow down, reflect, and connect. Visitors moved freely through the space, engaging directly with the artists and their stories, breaking down the usual barriers between creator and audience.
PANORAMA Chapter 2 – Collectiva is open to the public until June 19, weekdays from 10:00 to 13:00 and 15:00 to 17:00 (note: closed on June 11 due to a concurrent event). Entry is free.
This is just the second chapter of PANORAMA — a project that continues to grow, always driven by the same mission: to bring artists together, open up new creative paths, and imagine a more inclusive and supportive way of making and experiencing art in Ireland.
