Born in 1991 in the province of Bari, Serena grew up surrounded by music and restless energy. As a teenager she played in local punk bands, first with Eva’s Borderline and later with Sonic Daze, shaping a raw and instinctive approach that still echoes in her work today.
After studying Foreign Languages and Literature, Serena began teaching English, a path that reflects her love for words and sound. A short stay near Dublin left her with a lasting affection for Ireland and its landscapes, before life eventually brought her back to Puglia, where she now lives in Bari.
Her solo project, Dimblue, blends folk roots with lo-fi textures and an introspective tone. Voice and acoustic guitar are at the center, creating minimal and melancholic spaces inspired by artists such as Soul Asylum, Toad the Wet Sprocket and City and Colour. Her English lyrics move through fragility and reflection, searching for beauty in imperfection and embracing authenticity over polish.
Dimblue’s single “Aliens from Outer Space” is available on digital platforms.
Beyond Dimblue, Serena also plays guitar with Naria, a Bari-based band that combines rock-pop and shoegaze influences with a 90s alt-rock spirit, showing how her creative world continues to expand, one sound at a time. In May, Naria released the debut album Under the Same Sky, a quiet statement of identity and emotional honesty.

Pinocchio Magazine says: “Aliens from Outer Space” is an intimate trip floating between melancholy and light. Dimblue blends pop-folk vibes with touches of shoegaze, creating a dreamy and honest atmosphere. Her delicate and genuine voice ties together feelings of distance and longing. Listening feels like drifting through a suspended space, where loneliness doesn’t crush you but gently lifts you instead. It’s a song that quietly keeps you company, makes you feel a little less alone in your own “alien” way, and reminds you that even being different can shine like a small light in the dark”.
